Hello! Good-Bye! (Sesame Beginnings Board Book, Level 3) By Abigail Tabby |
In this board book with two stories in one, Baby Ernie says “hello” to all the things he sees. Halfway through there is a note to turn the book upside down and continue reading the second story. Now Ernie says “good-bye”–until
it’s time to say hello again! Rhymed text and big, bold, bright illustrations add to the appeal.
Hello! Good-Bye! continues the wonderful "Sesame Beginnings" series. In this book, Baby Ernie wakes up and eagerly says "hello" to everybody (and everything) that he meets. Midway through the book, readers are told to flip over the book, where they are greeted by a second story. This time, Baby Ernie is getting ready for bed and says "good-bye" to everything he sees. Pictures are simple, bright, and colorful and help children improve their vocabulary by showing the objects referred to by the text. Children will delight in flipping the book over and over to get a new story each time. An excellent addition to a child's library. |
